Rosedale International Speedway is situated on a recreation
reserve in the Gippsland town of Rosedale 180km east
of Melbourne and was founded in October 1971 by Fred
Ozbourne with a goal to form an association and build
a track to conduct speedway racing.
From virtually open paddocks a 1/2 mile "D"
shaped track was formed within the existing horse track
, And with a safety fence made from old railway sleepers
and 5 inch planks backed with earth kept stray cars
on course. From day one Rosedale International Speedway
was considered one of Victoria`s best speedway's. Now
after 27 years and with recently completed upgrades
worth in excess of $100,000 the speedway will continue
to attract bigger and better events.
